We got this adorable book and read it to our campers at our day camp for storytime. Beans and Hailo Hike Wish Mountain is an amazing adventure packed with friendship,
bravery, and loads of uplifting fun!
Beans and Hailo are super excited to join all their friends at STAR Camp, a place they've visited every year since they were little kiddos. Each year, they look forward to reuniting with dear friends to enjoy awesome hikes and adventures together. They especially love catching up with Zion, their favorite camper, who taught them how to play basketball and shares their love for outdoor adventures.
But this summer, something unexpected happens. Zion gets very sick and is hospitalized, so he can't join everyone at STAR Camp. Beans and Hailo feel really sad when they hear the news from Zion's Mama (Auntie Keri), so they decide it's time to lift their dear friend's spirits.
With the help of their Wish Team hike leaders, all the kiddos at STAR Camp come up with a wonderful plan. They decide to hike all the way to the top of Wish Mountain to plant a gigantic flag in Zion's honor, so everyone can see it from miles away, (especially Zion). Beans and Hailo think it will be a great way to encourage everyone to send well wishes and prayers for Zion's speedy recovery!
The hike to the top of Wish Mountain presents some tricky challenges, but with their fellow hikers by their side, Beans and Hailo learn just how important it is to stick together and support each other.
